Surprisingly, Justin was quite calm. For a moment, Elijah was rendered speechless. When he hesitated, he got a call from Stefan.

"Please wait a moment."

Elijah covered his phone and cautiously nodded at Justin before he walked to a corner.

Justin pocketed his hands and acted like an outsider. He watched from afar as Elijah's expression changed drastically. He was quite confident now. Renee's sudden disappearance probably had nothing to do with Stefan.

"Mr. Baldwin..." Elijah finally hung up and heaved a long sigh. "Mr. Hunt would like to talk to you alone in his office."

"That sounds about right." Justin raised his brow, unsurprised. He knew Stefan would see him regardless of whether Renee was with him because both of them cared about Renee greatly.

Justin went to the top floor where Stefan was, with Elijah leading the way.

"Come in."

The spacious president's office was rather quiet. The members of the secretarial team were sent away. Hence, Justin was left alone with Stefan on the entire floor.

When Justin pushed the door and entered the office, he saw Stefan facing a giant floor-to- ceiling window. Stefan stood there in a rather forlorn manner.

In that instant, Justin confirmed that Renee was not in Stefan's hands. After all, Stefan looked gloomy. He did not at all look like the winner.

"You came later than what I'd imagined."

Stefan did not turn around. He sounded cold and gloomy. Although he kept his superior look, he sounded desperate and downcast. It could be seen that he did not lead a happy life. He must have suffered a fatal blow and ended up dispirited.

"I thought you would come to North City to see me." Justin looked at Stefan's back and

casually pulled a chair out before he took his seat. He sounded relaxed.

In comparison, Stefan resembled the man whose fiancee was snatched away more.

"I don't know where she went." Stefan went straight to the point. "If I wanted to take her away, you wouldn't have the chance to take her to North City."

He sounded quite overbearing.

If Stefan had wanted to win Renee back, he had a lot of chances to do so. Justin would never get such a chance. Besides, Stefan did not have to pick such a critical time to make an enemy for nothing.

"I know." Justin rolled his eyes. He knew he had no chance to defeat Stefan in that regard. " Although I've got the eyewitness and evidence, I think you weren't the one who took her away."
