Justin heard that and turned around to look at the man behind him.

"Mr. Young, you came in time." The receptionist acted like she had seen her savior. She heaved a sigh of relief instantly and hurriedly let him take care of the trouble. "Mr. Baldwin would like to meet Mr. Hunt. What should we do about it?"

"It's fine. Let me handle it." Elijah raised his chin and instructed the receptionist to get back to her work. Then, he said to Justin, "I'm so sorry to see you come here in person. May I have a chat with you?"

Justin said icily, "I'll only meet Stefan."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Baldwin. Mr. Hunt is pretty busy now and won't see anyone. You can talk to me about anything. It won't be any different."noveldrama

Elijah was neither humble nor overbearing, but he was firm. It seemed that he had received an order from Stefan.

Justin felt that Stefan must be guilty. If not, Stefan wouldn't be too cowardly to see him.

"This concerns him and me, so I can only talk to him. Ask him to come and see me and stop being a coward." Justin's gaze grew colder and fiercer. He checked his wristwatch and threatened, "I'm not joking. I only have an hour."

"What if it's more than an hour?"

It wasn't easy to threaten Elijah. He kept a calm expression and asked while faking a smile. Justin pocketed his hands and said honestly, "I can tell you what will happen if it's more than an hour, but I don't know the answer. I think we'd better not take the risk."

"Fine. We'll wait for an hour starting from now. I hope you can let me see a miracle." Elijah instinctively felt that Justin was bragging and trying to stimulate him.

Hence, he didn't compromise and let Justin see Stefan.

Finally, Stefan stopped focusing on his romance. Instead, he turned his focus to managing Hunt Enterprise. It looked like his lifestyle and plans were normal.

Elijah didn't wish to see Stefan fall into the torturous love affair with Renee again. It would be better to keep things as they were. Stefan would stay away from it and wouldn't get affected by it, either.

"I'm fine with it. I just don't know if you can be held responsible for the consequences." Justin was calm and tried to shift the blame.

He had no idea what Cadmus and Tiger would do, but he had informed Elijah about it. Since Elijah didn't take him seriously, he couldn't be blamed if both families started a fight.

Elijah vigilantly looked outside the building and noticed that things might not be as simple as he had imagined. Justin was probably trying to remind him instead of bragging.

"Are you going to talk to Mr. Hunt about Ms. Everheart?"

Elijah was worried that things might get out of hand. Hence, he decided to give in and ask Why Justin came to Hunt Enterprise.

"Of course."

Justin looked up at the top of the building as his gaze turned complicated. "I wonder which man could see his fiancee being snatched away!"

"You're overthinking." Elijah heaved a sigh. "We made a clear public statement. Ms. Everheart's disappearance has nothing to do with Mr. Hunt. He was busy with the company on the day of your engagement. To be honest, he's looking for her too."

Elijah knew that he shouldn't reveal too much about that affair. However, people kept trying to find fault with Stefan and blame him for such a big misdeed. He was being treated unfairly.

"Is that so?"

Justin wasn't surprised by Elijah's answer. He merely stressed the reason why he came.

"Then, you should let me talk to him. I think her disappearance is strange. Plus, two is better than one. Isn't it?"
