Besides, Craig's mom had been sick for a while. He must've known this was coming, but still... it's hard to face when it actually happens."

Craig hadn't brought his assistant or his secretary. He was handling everything at the funeral home himself-signing papers, paying fees, running around.

His mom had only started living comfortably in the last couple of years. She'd

finally stopped worrying about money. And now... it just wasn't fair.
