She hurried to Darius, embraced him, and gently caressed his face. "How are you feeling, Darius? Does it still hurt?"

Pearl quickly moved closer and slapped Nina before she could react. "This is for my son." Pearl's slap was strong; she knew how to fight, and Nina was stunned.

"How dare you hit me. I'm going to ruin your face!" Nina lost her calm demeanor and became enraged.

Luther, witnessing Nina's breakdown, shouted, "Nina! Look at yourself! Can you even recognize who you are?"

Nina was about to attack Pearl, but Luther's words made her stop and stand awkwardly." What do you mean? Do you hate me now?"

"I wish I'd never taken you in," Luther replied, clearly disappointed. He remembered Nina as gentle and cautious, always following him, not the furious person she had become.

Unable to accept she was the one being punished, she ended up glaring at Pearl and Darius with hatred. "They're taking too much space in your heart, that's why you hate me, right? You'll love me again if they don't exist anymore, won't you?"
