too late for a second chance novel (Lila and Dorian)

Chapter 476

The car came to a stop, and Kieran stepped out to open the door for Lila.

"Mrs. Morgan, if you're too tired from work today, I can take over. I'm willing to be at your service."

As he spoke, Kieran bent down, attempting to lift her out of the car.

Lila reacted quickly, undoing her seatbelt and stepping out herself. But just as she extended one leg out, she suddenly found herself being lifted up.

Instinctively, she wrapped her arms around his neck. "I can walk by myself. I'm not tired today."

"I want to carry you. Is that not allowed?" With his head lowered, his cheek gently touched hers.

He carried her inside, set her securely on the shoe cabinet, then knelt down to swap her shoes for a pair of soft slippers.

Before she could even move, he picked her up again, then carried her to the bedroom.

As Lila was placed on the bed, her mind wandered back to the brief kiss they had shared in the car earlier.

She raised her hands and caught Kieran before he could straighten up, causing the unprepared man to stumble onto the bed. Then, she leaned forward and deepened the earlier kiss.

Feeling aroused, Kieran felt her nervous fingers explore under his shirt, brushing against his firm abdominal muscles.

Kieran's gaze darkened, and his breathing grew heavier.

With her eyes closed, Lila felt her body gradually heat up. When she opened her eyes, they were glistening.

Lowering her head, she began fumbling with the buttons on his shirt. Because her hands were trembling, it took a long time just to undo three buttons.

Kieran wasn't sure if she was in a hurry, but he certainly was. Even the corners of his eyes had turned slightly red.

Supporting her gently, he murmured, "Let me do it myself, okay?"noveldrama

Caught off guard, Lila pulled too hard and accidentally ripped the silk shirt.

After a brief pause, she exclaimed, "It's the shirt's fault! I didn't even pull that hard."

Kieran chuckled, his voice husky. "I know. You're just a good girl, aren't you?"

He lowered his head, landing another kiss against her lips as he finished undoing the last button.

His lean, muscular physique was now fully exposed.

Lila felt her cheeks heat up, and she was unable to look directly at him.

With her pinned beneath him, Kieran leaned in, his body heat enveloping her as her own body began to warm up

response. She glanced up and this intense gaze.

Panicking, she turned her head. But Kieran gently cupped her face, turning her

back to face him. "Lila, look at me."

She complied, her eyes meeting his, which were brimming with deep affection. Subconsciously, she uttered, "Kieran..."

Hearing her call his name in that

sweet, endearing voice, his heart felt like it was melting. He couldn't help but lower his head to kiss he again. "Good girl."

Outside, the moon slowly rose, casting a gentle glow.

Just as Kieran was about to take things further, his phone, which he had tossed to the side, suddenly rang.

Lila instinctively pressed a hand against his. "Someone's calling."

"It's not urgent." He quickly dismissed the call. But before he could continue, the phone rang again.

Seeing that the call was from Cole, Lila quickly said, "It might be something important with the company. You should answer it, just to be sure."

After all, Morgan Group was already in hot water.

Lila's dress was still on, though slightly disheveled. Kieran, however, was a different story. His torn shirt made him look like a wronged nobleman, though his trousers were thankfully fine.

Avoiding his gaze, Lila lowered her head, embarrassed by her own roughness.

Picking up the phone, Kieran murmured inwardly, "Cole better have a really good reason for calling right now."
