The Rise of a Master: It Starts With Rejection

Chapter 996

Ezra then turned to Felix with a smile. "Felix, what would you like?"

Felix had already decided, and his opinion was undeterred by this incident. "Solaris Root."

Ezra gave him a thumbs-up. "Impressive! That's almost the hardest one to get my hands on."

Solaris Root was incredibly precious and practically priceless. It was a key ingredient in creating Ascension Pills, which were essential for breaking through to the late stage of Transcendent Realm. That explained why it was so unobtainable.

This confirmed Dickson's earlier point. With materials so hard to gather, few could craft it, and the pill-forming rate was terrifyingly low. Whenever a single Ascension Pill entered the market, it caused an absolute frenzy-people would usually compete fiercely for it.

Meanwhile, the Brennan brothers were nervously making their way down the mountain, not daring to rush out.

"Johnny, will we really be okay?" Colin asked.

Johnny's face darkened as he snapped, "At worst, we're guilty of failing to report it. It depends on whether Harmony Clinic cares about small fry like us. So, how would I know?"

Even if they weren't arrested, his future was ruined. Josie and Jake would certainly be executed, and he would be expelled from Harmony Clinic. There was no future left for him-they had really shot themselves in the foot this time.

"It's all Felix's fault. If we make it home safely, we'll make him pay when we get the chance."

A cruel glint flashed in Johnny's eyes. "Fortunately, Mr. Zinker only knew the basics of our family's secrets. We still have a chance if we can make it back safely."

Another day passed. In Harmony Clinic's dining hall, Barry and Felix were drinking together.

"Congratulations on becoming an Intermediate grade, Barry!"

Indeed, Barry had finally passed the assessment and could now cultivate intermediate pills. He was now officially ranked as an Intermediate-grade alchemist at Harmony Clinic.

"Thanks, Felix, but I'm still far behind you! What really makes me happy today isn't just my success, but seeing the Brennans get what they deserved. But it's a shame Johnny only got expelled, though, and Colin didn't lose anything at all."

Felix reassured him, "Don't think too much about it. Harmony Clinic is relatively lenient. But those who needed punishment would get it. Going after everyone would only create unnecessary trouble."

Felix wasn't wrong. Other major families would have killed everyone involved, but Harmony Clinic didn't operate that way. Executing the instigators, Josie and Jake, was

enough to deter other plotter

"True. After this, the Brennan family will surely decline. Once I build up enough connections, I'll fight to reclaim my dignity."noveldrama

The next day, they each set out for home. Felix felt bad as Dickson was still escorting him around.

"Dickson, you really shouldn't trouble yourself," he said.

Dickson picked his nose as he replied, "What trouble? When Madam Goddard asks for something, I see it through. Mr.. Whitwell actually wanted to see you before you left, but we'll arrange it another time."

After thinking, Felix asked, "Is Mr. Whitwell not at headquarters? Has he gone out?"

He immediately wanted to slap himself. His curiosity was really getting the better

of him. He had been less cautious compared to when he first entered Martial City. He needed to change that.

Dickson's eyes flashed with cold light as he said icily, "Mr. Whitwell went to avenge us both."
