The Reclaimed Rose (Annalise and Steven)

Chapter 725

I continued, "The women are happier because they can focus on their work. As for the married men who were already facing conflicts in the family home because of their children, they were keen on dropping their kids off at the in-house daycare after learning about the perks.

"When their requests were approved, they brought their kids to work. Their efficiency improved significantly after that, and it helped them focus on their jobs. More importantly, these employees could finish their usual workload within half a day.

"They spent the rest of the day working out at the company gym or spending time with their children."

Enthused by the talk of our company policies, I added, "Parents whose kids had started schooling brought their kids to work as well. While the kids are doing their homework, the parents can work out at the gym. Those daily gym sessions made a huge difference to their health, too."

Zane nodded. "We have a gym in our company as well, and our workload is reasonable by conventional standards. However, the turnover rate for female employees is still high. I should look into it."

He was never one to dawdle and would seek solutions immediately after encountering a problem. As such, he called the human resources department at Huxham Corporation and inquired about the reasons behind the high turnover rate of female employees.

The human resources department's answer was expected the female employees left because they couldn't juggle between raising their children and working a full-time job.

Zane was silent for a while after hearing this. He had always believed the women left for other reasons.

He stared at me, and I met his gaze steadily. A long beat later, he called Eric. "How's your schedule looking these days?"

"I have time," Eric answered without hesitation.

Chuckling, Zane said, "I think we need an in-house daycare and a children's tutoring department in our company It would help our staffers who are already parents. I don't want them struggling to cope with their careers after having children. What do you think?"

Eric might have been single, but he could see how the perks would greatly benefit

the employees at the company. "I think it's a solid idea."

"Great. Calculate the number of staffers who are already parents. Find out how many of their children are newborns and schooling while you're at it," Zane instructed, not wasting any time. "After that, figure out how many kids should be assigned to each teacher and daycare nurse.

"Once you have the figures, contact Human Resources and have them put up a hiring notice. Let the staff know they're welcome to bring their kids to work after the two

departments have been set

up. The

kids will be taken care of regardless of their age." noveldrama

For some reason, Eric was moved by Zane's initiative. "All right. I'll make the arrangements."

Zane sensed that Eric was about to hang up, so he quickly added, "Oh, and remember to call up the employees who have resigned and tell them about these new perks. Give them a choice to reprise their roles in the company, but don't force them."

Eric, ever the loyal secretary who vouched for every one of Zane's decisions, replied, "Yes, sir."

After hanging up, Zane turned to me and said, "Thank you. If we hadn't talked about this, I might never know how inadequate my company was."

"Well, you grew up in a well-to-do family, and your decisions are made in your best judgment." I didn't think I'd done anything so saintly as to warrant Zane's compliments. "Besides, you taught me a lot, too."
