The President’s Mistake A Tale of Love and Regret

Chapter 524 Recovery

Early the next morning, Freya dropped off her younger brother Mason at his private school, and drove to the law firm.

This law firm, one of the most prominent in Saeville and is renowned for its professionalism.

Freya intended to finalize an amicable divorce with Nathaniel. She had no interest in his assets or the Technologent Group. In theory, she was walking away from the marriage with nothing, which should make the divorce agreement acceptable to Nathaniel.

Freya waited in the law firm's reception area for Nathaniel for two full hours. During that time, she made several calls to him, all of which were disconnected immediately.

Frustration began to set in. It seemed Nathaniel was resorting to his old tactics, trying to avoid the matter by not showing up to sign the agreement.

Meanwhile, in the office on the twenty-eighth floor of Technologent Group, Nathaniel sat with a dark expression, remaining motionless. Koen and the others dared not speak.

Piles of documents awaited Nathaniel's signature, but he showed no interest in dealing with them.

Hudson, unable to hold back, said quietly, "Nathaniel, delaying like this won't solve anything."

"You need to have a proper discussion with your wife. What exactly happened between the two of you?"

"From what I understand, it was your wife who had the affair this time. So why does it seem like she's angrier than you?"

Koen cleared his throat, hoping Hudson would say less.

Hudson, unaware of the delicate situation, continued, "Recently, there's been a lot of conflict between Sawyer and Alexander. Shouldn't we consider helping Alexander and just let Sawyer deal with it?"

Koen intervened, "Alexander isn't exactly a saint either. Moreover, Sawyer has actually been a saviour to our wife. Acting rashly against Sawyer would only make our wife more resentful. Nathaniel, you should meet with your wife and discuss things properly with a lawyer present."

"No way!" Nathaniel was adamant

about not wanting to discuss the divorce. He was unwilling to make it easy for Freya to move on and

remarry. He'd rather wait, keit

was old and decrepit and see which man would still want her.

Koen and the others fell silent. Nathaniel was notoriously immature when it came

to emotional matters.

Suddenly, Koen's phone rang.

Nathaniel's phone number was rarely publicized; those wanting to contact him had to go through Koen.

Koen answered the call quickly. The voice on the other end spoke politely, "May I speak with Nathaniel?"

Koen was taken aback and glanced at Nathaniel before putting the call on speakerphone.

Nathaniel signalled to continue, and Koen switched the call to speaker.

Nathaniel, already irritable, was growing more annoyed as he had delegated all company matters to Koen.

"Hello, Nathaniel. This is the Civil Division of Saville Court."

The mention of "Saville Court"

caused Nathaniel's expression to et

darken immediately. He looked at

phone with a grim expression.

"What does this mean?"noveldrama

Even over the phone, Nathaniel's imposing presence was palpable, making the

staff on the other end hesitate slightly.

"Hello, Nathaniel. Your wife, Freya, has filed for divorce with our court."

"I'd like to inform you that before the formal court judgment, you have a one-month cooling-off period. During this time, if you choose, you can request our court to mediate, and you can also come to our office to discuss the related matters." Cóntent belongs to
