send someone to monitor me? It looked like something he would do, though. With my heart racing, I

explained to myself, ‘It’s not just the two of us; Isabella. Richard and even Jolene are here.

‘It is not allowed even if there are others! Stay away from him, you silly woman! I warned you not to

make a cuckold out of me, otherwise I’ll kill you!

Every word he said was laced with jealousy, and the way he spoke was getting more vulgar

now. Avoiding an argument with him, I replied, ‘I understand. I won’t be alone with him and I won’t allow

him to touch me.’

‘How can I have peace of mind when you are so silly and silly?’

you really missed me. Also, you said you’d call me when you got back, but you haven’t called me once

after more than a day.

‘It was inconvenient to call you last night because I was with my dad. I’ll call you tonight.

Changing his tune, he said. ‘Okay, but I miss you. I miss you a lot.’

‘I know that. I will miss you too.’

– Remember to call me tonight. I will be waiting for you!’ he remembered.

‘Okay, got it. I will remember. Suddenly, Isabella’s voice came from behind me, asking, ‘Lily, why are

you taking so long?

“It was my mother asking me where I was, so I asked about my father’s situation as well. She said he

kept saying he wanted to be dumped, so I talked him around a little bit.’

‘Sir. Hawkins is like a child, but it’s not comfortable being in a hospital. Just let him go home, and it will

be the same as staying in a hospital if you hire a good family doctor.

‘Yes, I considered that too.’

Why don’t you let me see a doctor? Carson butted in.

There was no way I was going to let such an intriguing person stick their nose into this, so I

immediately declined his offer: ‘We need my father’s opinion on this matter. Let’s get on with our meal.”

Back at the restaurant, the seductive smile Jolene was giving Richard could be seen from afar, and his

hand was in hers. Seeing us, they quickly sat down and I glanced at Carson, thinking he must be

feeling unbearable to see his wife acting indecently with another man.

Oddly enough, he didn’t show any signs of irritation, and I was surprised by his superior stealth skills.

After lunch, Carson sent Isabella and me back before heading back to the company. The second he

was gone, I asked her, ‘Did Carson hear anything of my conversation?’
