“Mr. Aston, rest assured, I won’t seek retribution as long as your daughter-in-law doesn’t come after me again,” Eileen said calmly, showing no signs of irritation.

“I’ll deal with them when we get home,” Keith promised, glancing back at the police station. “They’ll make a public apology. But could you keep this from escalating further?”

“Escalating?” Bryan’s eyebrow arched. “Did you consider it an escalation when Kamila confronted the Vazquez family, spreading the news everywhere?”

Keith shifted uncomfortably. “I wasn’t aware the full extent of it. It spiraled out of my control.”
