She's the Campus Prince

My k 599

From a distance, Bradley saw Cameron walking out of the campus.

She stuck to her usual style-a simple T-shirt, jeans, and the obsidian stud in her

ear-

bright.

ther

mark of her identity. She shimmered in the sunset, dazzlingly

Bradley couldn't help smiling. It had been far too long since they'd last met.

"Brad." Cameron greeted him as she approached, then walked around the car to open the passenger door. As it swung open, a wave of floral scent hitnoveldrama

her.

She looked down and saw a bouquet of vibrant red roses on the seat. She froze slightly.

Bradley noted her stunned expression without a trace, adjusting his gold-rimmed glasses. "A little girl selling flowers by the road insisted I buy them," he

said.

Cameron nodded, picked up the bouquet, got in, and fastened her seatbelt.

As she reached to place the flowers in the backseat, Bradley said, "They're for you."

"For me?" she asked.

He turned to look at her with a smile and carefully veiled his emotions. "Don't you like red roses?"

The flower language of red roses was passionate love.

Cameron held the bouquet. "I don't mind them." She'd lived as a boy for 18 years; the first flowers she'd ever received were red roses from Austin, though she'd sold them all.

Bradley said calmly, "Keep them, then. It'd be a shame to throw them away."

She didn't move the flowers to the backseat. "Thanks." she nodded.

When she didn't refuse, Bradley smiled again before starting the car.

"Where are we going?" Cameron asked.

He kept his secret. "You'll see when we get there."

She nodded, falling silent.

As he drove, Bradley chatted casually, "How's college life? Interesting?"

"Boring," she said. She already knew the textbook material backward and forward, yet had to study it all over again.

He chuckled. "Boring? College should be full of couples. If you're bored, why not try dating?"

She turned to look at him. "Are you looking to date, Brad?"

He smiled. "Is that strange? I'm an adult and a college student-it's only natural."

"True," she nodded, then asked curiously, "Do you have a girlfriend already?" "Not yet," he said, then turned the question around. "What about you?" "Not interested in that right now," she admitted honestly.

Bradley fell silent. He'd make sure Cameron changed her mind soon enough.

In the rearview mirror, Amelia Saw Bradley's car again. She recognized it since she even memorized the license plate,

She wondered if Cameron was in that car. After tens of seconds of thought, she finally took out her phone to text Cameron.

Amelia: (Where are you?]

Cameron: [With a friend. Why?]

Amelia: [What friend is so important you ditched us all?]

Cameron: [I made plans with them first.]

Amelia tried for ages to pry details from Cameron but still failed to get any useful information. Finally, she sent an emoji. The Mercedes behind them followed all the way into the underground parking lot of the show venue.
