Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 753

Nathalie gazed right into his eyes, her stare unwavering.

Benjamin shrugged. "Don't give me that look. Let me lay it out straight. Those crime bosses were reported by my... well, my nosy little brother from the Rowland family. I'm worried they might come after me once they're out..."noveldrama

"The second son of the Rowland family?" Nathalie found herself suddenly intrigued by this brother she had never encountered.

She leaned in, her voice taking on a softer, almost tender tone, "Benjamin, I really admire your brother. Could you tell me more about him?"

Caught in Nathalie's gentle inquiry, Benjamin sighed. "Hmph, he's got one of those heartbreakingly charming faces. He's got women swooning over him everywhere. But don't get too attached; he'll only end up breaking your heart."

Nathalie paused for a moment. Her Nathan also had an incredibly handsome face. His skin almost glowed, his eyelashes were long and thick, and when he spoke, dimples would occasionally appear at the corners of his mouth. His small, perfectly shaped face lit up with a smile that could chase away any worries.

That child, who seemed to have clawed his way out of hell, always smiled so brightly.

She loved seeing him smile more than anything.

"Does your brother smile a lot?"

Benjamin shook his head vigorously. "No way. He's got a permanent scowl, like someone owes him something. He's as aloof as they come."

Nathalie felt a wave of disappointment.

This didn't sound like Nathan at all.

The brother Benjamin described seemed worlds apart from the child she remembered. Maybe she had it all wrong.

Just then, the news anchor on the screen, speaking in perfect English, reported, "Apparently, the breakthrough in this case came from a prisoner with a history of being trafficked, who revealed the gang's hideout... enabling our officers to swiftly surround the location and arrest the gang leaders."

Nathalie's mind was blown wide open.

The scattered clues suddenly pieced together, and she stared at Benjamin, her voice shaky, "Your brother was trafficked?"

Benjamin turned ghostly pale,

shaking his head fiercely. "Nah, our family's pretty well-off. Rich folks like us are super protective of our kids. My dad always had bodyguards escort us to and from school. No way traffickers could've gotten to us."

Nathalie's gaze turned sharp, relentless. "But the hero who cracked the human trafficking case had a history of being trafficked. And you just said it was your brother who reported the gang?"

Benjamin was instantly thrown off balance.

"They... they're not the same person," he stammered, all flustered.

Nathalie wasn't buying it and pushed further, "Benjamin, how old is your brother?"

"21."

Nathalie was stunned, frozen in place.

Her mind pieced together all the bits of information she had gathered the second son of the Rowland family, 21 years old, had a history of being trafficked, and was skilled in artificial intelligence.

Everything lined up with Nathan's profile.

It was like a bolt of lightning tearing through the quiet night-the truth was undeniable.

Tears brimmed in Nathalie's eyes.

It was as if she were a wanderer lost in the desert, teetering on the brink of despair, only to finally glimpse an oasis.

It was him.

Her heart told her.

"Why did he commit a crime?" Her heart ached with the question.

Just moments ago, she heard the newscaster announce he was the prisoner who had been trafficked. She was utterly shocked: how could the kind-hearted Nathan have ended up here?
