Chapter 553
"These two will still be crippled even after treatment," said the leader of the Lotus Sect slowly as he looked at the two battered people before him.
"Aunt Margaret, is this normal? How could the supposed elite fighters from two of the Seven Clans of Central Harbor be so powerless against Dustin?" Amara asked in confusion as she looked at Margaret.
Margaret's face darkened. She seemed to take a long time to come back to herself.
"It's not normal. The elite fighters of the Seven Clans of Central Harbor are some of the most powerful in Lovellia's martial world," she said with a complicated look on her face.
"Then, how could two of them fail to deal with Dustin? Could he really be powerful?" Amara asked. She could not understand what was happening.
The Wyatt sisters disliked Dustin. No matter how impressive he was, they thought that Dustin was a useless piece of trash and that had only come so far because of luck.
"Maybe your father really taught him some mighty moves and helped him reach heights of power," said Margaret.
When she heard that, Amara's face turned icy.
"What an ungrateful wretch! Everything he has is from the Wyatt family! Instead of being grateful, he's seeking revenge on us! He even wants to kill Eli! We would have let him die out in the cold if we knew how vicious he was!" Amara said in a huff.
"It seems that we can't attack him with martial might for the time being." Margaret looked at Amara meaningfully.
Amara understood what Margaret was saying. She walked to Abel's car and bowed.
"Mr. Gould, we really have no other choice. Dustin Fox is unrepentant and wild. I think only you can do something about him now."
Abel nodded when he heard this.
Amara personally opened the car door for him, and Abel got off with a solemn expression.
"Do you know who this is, Dustin? This is Abel Gould, a respected and experienced ex-politician. He was a teacher to many other politicians in high positions in court. Even the king treats him with courtesy and respect!" Amara said pridefully. She acted as if Abel was her relative.
"No matter how powerful you are, you have to be courteous to Mr. Gould. If you don't, his students will squash you with just a word! Get over here and welcome him now!"
When they heard that Abel had arrived, the higher-ups of the Lotus Sect all stiffened.
They were only citizens, and they could not compete with the might of a politician.
Besides, Abel was a very powerful person.
Although he had retired and did not have true power of his own, he was not to be underestimated.
He had taught too many students, with most of them going on to become politicians themselves. A great many of them were very important, too.
Unless one were a powerful person in their own right, one would never dare to be disrespectful to Abel.
As Amara pompously introduced Abel, Dustin remained.
"What? You won't show Mr. Gould
some respect? Is Mr. Gould too
small of a fish for you? You're
ally
too arrogant and ignorant!" Amara
said sarcastically.
Amara's comment made Abel feel insulted.
"Kid, I won't fault you for not recognizing me but release the people you captured immediately. If you do, I will overlook it," Abel said authoritatively as he glared at Dustin.
Dustin looked down on all of them.
"Who do you think you are?" Dustin spat out expressionlessly.noveldrama
Abel's expression instantly turned stormy.
He was a respected and renowned ex-politician who had taught many other important people. His reputation was excellent. Yet, Bustin looked down on him and treated him as though he was nothing.
"You're out of line, Dustin!" Amara said to Dustin.
"Young man, don't be so arrogant. That will do you no good in life," Abel said in an
ominous tone of voice.
What do you think?
