Chapter 575 Sister
She could feel the blood slowly seeping from her wrist. At first, there was pain- but it quickly faded into numbness.
In her daze, she wondered, was this how it felt for her sister when she left the world?
Looking back on everything that had happened over the years, Anna felt both fortunate and sorrowful.
Though Taylor had done so many things-good and bad—at the final moment when life was slipping away, Anna realized she didn't hate him at all. Not even a little.
His presence had filled her life with hatred, warmth, and light.
When she really thought about it, the happiest time in her life had been on Rosbel Island. She grew up carefree, and every so often, Taylor would return to spend time with her.
He'd put on an apron, cook for her, and teach her to recognize every wild plant and herb.
They'd lie on the rooftop at night and look at the stars together.
As her consciousness faded, the final image frozen in her mind was just that— watching the stars on Rosbel Island.
She had been lying on his lap, her hair slipping down over his pants.
They had leaned into each other-two lost souls who became each other's salvation.
Turns out, the place she most longed to return to wasn't the Sander residence. It was Rosbel Island. That starlit rooftop. That version of life with Taylor.noveldrama
But life doesn't rewind. There was no going back.
Taylor... Goodbye...
Bang!
Somewhere in the distance, someone set off a firework. The explosion shattered the stillness of the night with a sharp crack.
In his sleep, Taylor flinched-trapped in a nightmare.
He dreamed of Anna, pale and dying, whispering a final farewell. Blood pooled beneath her.
The sound of the fireworks yanked him violently from sleep. He jolted awake, drenched in cold sweat.
His arms were empty-Anna was gone.
Did she leave again?
Eyes adjusting to the darkness, Taylor scanned the room. A sinking dread clawed at his chest.
He bolted to the bathroom, praying she was inside.
But when he opened the door-his nightmare had become a reality.
Anna was lying in the bathtub, crimson water swirling around her. Taylor lunged toward her. "Anna!"
"Taylor ... Goodbye ... "
She whispered weakly before her world faded to black.
Thankfully, the odds of dying from wrist slashing weren't high-and she was rescued just in time.
From that day on, things between her and Taylor only got worse.

He no longer locked her up, but that didn't mean he could let her go either after all, the feud between the Sanders and Carlyns hadb
reached a boiling point.
Anna returning to the Sanders wouldn't help anything. In fact, it might only put her
in more danger from Carlyns.
The only safe place for her was by his side. After weighing all the risks, Taylor waited until she had recovered physically before bringing her back to White Residence in Jaford.
The only problem was that Nina believed Anna was truly Alice. She'd toss out a
cutting remark or a mocking jab every time they crossed paths.
But Anna didn't care anymore. What else could she expect from this life?
Taylor held her mother's life over her head-if she kept living, her mother and Greg might at least stay alive, too.
Life was hard, but she clung to that sliver of hope.
Just when she thought this was all there was for the rest of her days, she came across someone who looked exactly like her sister.
After being shoved to the ground by Nina, this girl helped her up and tried to take her away.
But she couldn't leave-Taylor had taken away the chains, but he still used her mother's life keep her bound to him.
She had no choice but to return to Taylor again. She told the girl not to worry about her anymore.
Getting involved with someone like her would only bring trouble.
By then, Taylor had already decided to marry her. Anna didn't even know how to describe her feelings for him.
There was some dependence but mostly resentment.
But she had no other choice. Whether they married or not didn't make much difference. Either way, she was just something he kept hidden away.
As the wedding date drew closer, Anna was completely unprepared to suddenly run into Chloe!
Disguised as a mute servant, she appeared before Anna. They dodged the cameras, and Chloe leaned close to her ear under cover of darkness and whispered.
"Whitney, it's me, Chloe. I didn't die—I came back."
At that moment, a light returned to Anna's eyes.
Her sister was alive. She hadn't died after all!
