Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 1031: Fulfilling Grandpa's Dream

Before Hayden could finish his sentence, Tina shot him a glare as if he were an idiot, and he promptly shut his mouth.

He coughed awkwardly and said, "Serena, you misunderstood. I was just wondering if Logan, who's always been healthy, suddenly feeling unwell might be due to some hidden issue?"

This time, Tina didn't argue with him.

The tone of Uncle's call hadn't sounded particularly tense, so it probably wasn't anything serious.

At Farrell Manor, Tina stepped out of the car and told Hayden to head back while she entered the inner courtyard alone.

In the grand hall, Asher and Marie were dressed in formal attire, as though they'd just rushed back from an event.

Seeing Tina, Marie quickly came over and held her hand. "Tina, you're here."

Tina nodded and greeted them, "Dad, Mom, how's Grandpa doing?"

Marie was still a little dazed. The two of them had just wrapped up a banquet out of town when they received a call saying Logan had gotten into a dispute and nearly passed out on the spot.

So, they had rushed back immediately.

Asher walked over and said, "Jared convinced him to take some medicine earlier. He should be fine now."

Hearing this, Tina responded, "I'll go check on him."

Inside Logan's room, Jared was sitting by the bed, listening as Logan let out sighs and groans, but not saying a single truthful word.

They say old people are like children, but Jared didn't expect to see this side of his grandfather.

Clearly, Logan had something on his mind, yet he refused to speak about it.

Jared glanced at the time. It had been an hour since he came over from the office, and there was still no sign of Tina.

Just as he was thinking this, he heard her voice behind him.

"Uncle."

Jared turned and smiled, getting up to greet her. "Tina."

The moment Logan heard Tina's voice, his groaning paused, and his ears perked up.

For a while, the two people in the room chatted back and forth, completely forgetting about the "patient" lying on the bed. Logan cleared his throat, but they didn't react. Finally, he raised his voice and called out dramatically.

"Ah! Ouch!"

Tina couldn't help but laugh at how robust his voice sounded.

She signaled Jared to stay quiet and let her handle it.

Walking to the bedside, Tina asked deliberately, "Grandpa, where do you feel unwell? Let me check your pulse."

Logan slowly opened his eyes and replied in a feeble tone, "Oh, it's Tina. Grandpa's fine, it's just that I'm getting old. Even a minor illness feels like it's going to take my life."

Jared couldn't hold back. "..."

With this kind of energy, who's taking whose life, exactly?noveldrama

Tina responded calmly, "Grandpa, extend your hand. There might be something others can't detect, but I might be able to help."

Logan, sharp as ever, immediately picked up on the underlying meaning of her words.

But considering his age and pride, it wasn't easy for him to confide in a younger family member.

Tina noticed his hesitation and exchanged a glance with Jared, silently signaling him to leave.

Jared understood and reluctantly exited the room.

Turning back to Logan, Tina said with a composed expression, "Grandpa, we're family. Whatever it is, just say it directly."

If it was something he couldn't mention in front of Jared, it probably had to do with

her.

And if it involved her, she could more or less guess the reason.

Logan's face darkened as he struggled to find the words.

Seeing this, Tina didn't press him further. Instead, she checked his pulse to confirm he wasn't physically unwell, then withdrew her hand.

Casually, she asked, "Grandpa, who did you argue with? If you don't tell me, how can we help you vent your anger?"

At the mention of this, Logan's frustration flared up again. "It's those old coots at the nursing home!"

"They're always talking about great-grandchildren. I said a few words to them, and they got upset. Then they had the audacity to mock the Farrell family for having so few descendants! I gave them a piece of my mind."

Tina was speechless.

So he got upset over this and let it affect his blood pressure.

"So, Grandpa, are you in a hurry to have great-grandchildren?"

Tina's tone was calm, but Logan jolted, shaking his head and waving his hands. "Tina,

no, no, no! Grandpa doesn't mean that. You two just got married. Take your time and nurture your relationship. There's no rush, no rush at all..."

Tina didn't call him out.

If a single remark could raise his blood pressure, was this really "no rush"?

"Grandpa, do you prefer a boy or a girl?"

"I'm not in a hurry..." Logan froze mid-sentence. He looked at Tina, trying to confirm if

he had just misheard. "Tina, what did I just say?"

Tina simply smiled, remaining silent.

Logan suddenly felt his blood pressure spike again.

Could he have misheard?

Heavens, what kind of luck had the Farrell family stumbled upon? How could everything they wished for come true?

Tina didn't deny it. "Uncle and I haven't announced this to anyone yet, so we hope Grandpa can keep it a secret for now."

Logan nodded so quickly it was a wonder his head didn't fall off. "Of course, of course."

At this moment, he felt like he could do anything for his granddaughter-in-law. "Since Grandpa is fine, Uncle and I will head back now," Tina said as she got up to leave.

Logan immediately sat up in bed and hurried to stop her. "No need to rush! You two rarely come home. At least stay for dinner. I'll have the kitchen prepare something right away."

He then shouted toward the door, "Sam, where are you? Tell the kitchen to make

something delicious, especially the dishes Tina likes!"

Outside, Jared was startled by Logan's ecstatic voice.

Tina stepped out just then and, seeing Jared's puzzled expression, smiled. "Uncle, let's

go to the dining hall. Dad and Mom are still waiting for news."

Jared frowned. "Tina, what did you say to Grandpa?"

Tina raised an eyebrow. "I fulfilled Grandpa's dream."

Jared immediately understood.

While he felt both exasperated and amused by his grandfather's antics, he also realized that news of Tina's pregnancy was just shy of being announced to the entire world.

At dinner, Logan sat at the head of the table and had Tina seated beside him. His

chopsticks never stopped moving as he piled food onto her plate.

"Tina, here, this is your favorite."

"And this... it's very nutritious. Have more."

"And this... I heard it's good for the body. Try it."

Tina didn't stop him and accepted everything.

Asher and Marie, however, were startled by Logan's behavior.

"Dad, what are you doing? Tina can't eat that much!" Marie exclaimed.

Tina didn't say anything. She simply picked up her chopsticks and ate the food on her

plate.

Logan wasn't lying-the dishes tonight were all her favorites. The flavors suited her perfectly, and before she realized it, she'd eaten half a bowl of rice.

Marie was alarmed, remembering that Tina was still on medication. Worried, she said, "Tina, if you're full, stop eating. Don't overstuff yourself and upset your stomach!" Logan feigned irritation. "What do you know? Tina needs to nourish her body right now. How else is she going to recover?"

Marie froze and glanced at Tina. Her daughter-in-law's face did seem a bit rounder than before. Thinking it might be the effect of the medication, she withdrew her hand.

A little more weight wouldn't hurt-Tina had always been too thin, after all.
