Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

Chapter 1971

Why was he so agitated? What was he angry about?

How could another woman disturb his mind? She was not Gracie!

No way!

It was impossible for him to fall in love with another woman and it was someone that he would never like from the bottom of his heart!

Forget her!

He must forget this woman!

In the study room, Elijah felt like exploding from frustration. Outside, Carolien

curled up in one spot. For some reason, her head was actually empty, but her feet seemed to be tied down to the ground, and she could not lift her steps at all.

The night gradually deepened, dark and gloomy, engulfing the light into a boundless silence.

The next day, Elijah woke up on the couch in the study room. As dawn approached, he got up. His entire body was sore and his breath was filled with the pungent smell of smoke. His body ached everywhere.

Getting up and stretching his body, he took a shower and changed his clothes.

Originally, he wanted to go back to sleep, but because he washed away his drowsiness, he picked up his cell phone and scrolled through the messages. However, his eyes unconsciously lingered on someone's name for a few seconds before his face turned gloomy again.

Picking up the car key by his side, he knocked the side of his head and said, "Stop this..."

He should go to work!

Sure enough, only his work was reliable! Only work could bring him passion and a sense of accomplishment! As he thought so, he opened the door. When he went out, he didn't notice that his whole body was stooped, decadent, with no fighting spirit at all!

Elijah didn't remember what he had eaten for breakfast. He walked out of the door in a trance and looked around. A shadow in the corner came into his sight suddenly. Suddenly, he straightened up.

"Stop the car! Stop the car!"

He rolled down the window, and the next second, he opened the door and ran down.

On one side of the door by the doorframe, a curled-up figure entered his sight. Seeing her pale face, he felt angry.

She did not leave?

He nudged her lightly with his foot. "Hey! Are you stupid?"

What was she doing at the door? He was about to leave!

"Mmm..."

Carolien replied without raising her head. She tightened her arms around her knees a little bit. She shrank her body and curled up even more. Her body was up against the wall.

She was still wearing the clothes from last night. Because it was a long dress, her legs were covered by her dress, only revealing a pair of black high heels. Her hair tumbled down her shoulders like a quilt over her whole body. She was curled up like a shrimp and she looked pitiful. "Carolien!"

This woman was deliberately making him feel distressed! She stayed at the door and didn't shout or even call him!

D*mn it!

He gritted his teeth and wanted to let her be, but he couldn't walk away from her. Finally, he turned back, squatted down and grabbed her arm.

"Who allowed you to sit here?"

Her skin felt icy cold under his palm. In an instant, his heart trembled. Elijah was stunned. Why was she so cold?

The next second, he realized that Carolien's eyes were still closed. She seemed to be trapped in a dream as she pulled back her hand from him forcefully. Then, she turned around and shrunk back into a ball. She hid her face while protecting herself, her body facing the wall, leaving only her back to the outside world. "No, I didn't! I didn't..."

Carolien muttered subconciously. Before Elijah could react, he heard banging sounds. He looked at her and saw that she was banging her head against the wall, which scared him.

"What are you doing?"

Squatting down again, Elijah grabbed her head. It was obvious that she was struggling. Then, she pushed his hand away as if she didn't see him. She held her small head and started banging again.

"Go away! Don't touch me!"

Only then did he notice that there were some red marks on the other side of her forehead, as well as rubbing marks on her hands. They were dark red and some had been scabbed.

"I'm not sleeping! I'm not..."

Did she use this method to keep herself awake?

"Carolien?"

When he shouted again, Elijah touched her face again, but she was so hot that he suddenly withdrew his hand. He was shocked and quickly hugged her. "Carolien, wake up, wake up!"

"Humm hmm."

This time, he felt her hot breath on his hand. Carolien couldn't even open her eyes. Elijah carried her, only to find that she only wore a thin dress with nothing in her hands. Suddenly, he regretted everything.

How could she be so stupid! Did she just sleep at the door for a night?

Why did she do that?

Did she want to die?

At this point, a servant walked out. "Young Master?"

"Did you not notice that there was a living person at the door? Go and find Miss Jones's cell phone and handbag to see who took it!" Elijah roared angrily, while the servant was still confused.

"Miss Jones didn't bring her handbag or mobile phone yesterday. The taxi fee was paid by the housekeeper..."

As soon as the servant finished his words, Elijah looked at him furiously. "What are you doing? Call the doctor!"

What a bunch of trash!

Why didn't he know?

He carried her back to his room and covered her with the quilt. He held her in his arms and kept rubbing her hands and warming her body. For the first time, deep fear emerged in his heart.

This woman was really stubborn. She waited outside the door silently for a whole night! Was she even willing to give up her life?

Touched yet upset, Elijah's mood was extremely complicated.

"So hot..."noveldrama

Carolien kept pushing him, as sweat dripped down her forehead.

Seeing this, Elijah panicked. She was hot and cold at the same time?

"Don't move, don't move, it will be fine soon!"

Just as he was in a panic, the servant brought the doctor up and examined her. The doctor quickly gave her an antipyretic injection.

"Mr. Luther, this lady's fever is very serious. She is unconscious now! If her fever doesn't subside in the afternoon, she has to be sent to the hospital. Otherwise, her organs might shut down!"

Fortunately, when the doctor left, Carolien stopped tossing around and calmed down, showing signs of recovery.

Elijah was absent-minded for a long time as he stared at Carolien.

...

When Carolien opened her eyes again, the sky was dark and murky. Her eyes were still filled with confusion.

"Are you awake?"

She dared to be unconscious for the whole day! Did she plan to torture him to

death?

He took a step forward and pressed his palm on her forehead to test her temperature. Only then did Elijah lift her up and gave her a little water. At this time, a maid brought dinner in. When she saw Carolien wake up, she was slightly stunned. She put it aside and went out.

"Are you hungry?"

Elijah brought her a bowl of porridge and wanted her to eat it while it was hot. However, when he wanted to give her her first bite, he saw her pursing her lips. Her long lashes hung down, covering her large dark eyes and casted a faint shadow on her pale face. She looked even more pitiful.

"I'm not abandoning you! Eat!"

He blurted out without thinking. His helpless tone was like someone who was

trying to coax a disobedient child. Even Elijah himself was shocked.

However, Carolien did not recognize it. There was only one feeling in her heart— she was sad!

Putting down the porridge, Elijah sat by the bed and rubbed her head, "You won, I didn't lie to you!"

She almost lost my life. How can he not give her a chance? He would just forget

her later!

Just as he was thinking that, he felt a ball of softness crashing into his chest. The next second, he heard a muffled voice filled with sadness,

"I never had any other men! Never! In

this life, apart from you, there is only one... time a few years ago! I didn't betray you, and I didn't lie to you! didn't@ccept the pursuit of other men, and I never pursued another man! I really only have you! Uncle helped me a lot, last night I spilled wine on him. I saw that he was

injured, so I asked him to go to my office to wrap up the wound. We didn't do anything, really!"

"I'm sorry, don't be angry with me, okay?"

"I didn't know you would come. I didn't realize that it looked so wrong. I won't do it

again..."

Her soft voice was so sweet that it was impossible to refuse her.

His heart softened as Elijah suddenly thought of something. "Uncle?"

In his memory, she didn't even know who her father was. Who was this uncle?

Theo?

He was Guillermo Collins's uncle?

Her address was equivalent to admitting the relationship between them!

As their eyes met, Carolien knew that she said something she shouldn't have.

She instinctively wanted to avoid the sight, but he gripped her jaw in his hand. "You... lost your virginity to Guillermo Collins?"

Carolien's expression turned dark and she knew that she couldn't hide anymore. She didn't want to talk about it, but she knew that she shouldn't talk about it. But

she didn't avoid it and pursed her lips.

"I swear, only one night!" Carolien tried to weaken that encounter as much as possible. Her voice became

softer and sorter. She was telling the truth. It was only that one night in Korea, but she did not dare to say that the two of them were together throughout the night. She was too tense that day. She closed her eyes but could not recall much, only

that it was very intense. When she thought about it later, she only remembered

pain.

On the contrary, everything with him now seemed to have been carved into her bones, leaving a deep impression on her.

She didn't deny it?

Sure enough, it was him!

Elijah was both happy and unhappy. In the end, nothing could be changed. In the

end, he hugged her tightly. "Alright, don't do this again! The past is the past but I

will keep tabs on this. It'll depend on your performance in the future!"

He was implying that their relationship would continue!

He raised his hand to wipe her face forcefully and said, "I don't like others

touching my things!"

Carolien nodded with a big smile. She didn't know that as she sank deeper and deeper, he was thinking

of removing her from his life. And Elijah@ould never expect that women were like pears, sweet on the outside but sour on the inside.

Those who ate pears would never know that the pear's core was sour because they would throw it out. In the end, men did not understand women and when they did, they lost

the woman.
