Chapter 1710
Not knowing what was happening, Aunt Amanda was quite gratified by his words, so she said, "I'm relieved that you think so! I'll persuade her then!"
There was a slight smile emerging on her face. As if she couldn't help it, Aunt Amanda added a few words,
"Trevor, when things haven't gotten worse, you should understand that it's common for couples to fight and bicker! As others would say, marriage should be protected even if everything has been destroyed! Won't couples resolve conflicts and arguments the second they arise? Honestly speaking, there's no problem that can't be solved. The first lifelong partners are better. I don't mean that the two of you must be forced into a couple, or be tied up even if you were to get beaten to death, but you've experienced a lot together. For issues that can be reconciled, try your best to do so. When you're my age, you will understand that money and status are as transient as clouds. Nothing beats an old companion who will keep you company and serve you tea! It's not easy for two lovers to get together, not to mention married husband and wife who have been through hurdles."
Especially for them with prestigious family backgrounds, it wasn't to say that they thought of humans being too evil, but human nature was indeed so. How could she say that she didn't fear Trevor ending up hooking up with a lady that coveted their wealth and power? It was fine if Trevor met a sensible lady, but it would be a devastating misfortune if he ended up with a lady who held malicious thoughts!noveldrama
Marrying was indeed so. No matter how wonderful it was, there would always be tons of troubling trifles no one could hide from!
Aunt Amanda spoke with great sincerity, hoping that the two of them could resolve the issue and cherish their marriage. It would be best if they could turn hostility into bonds that could further strengthen their relationship!
Naturally, she was thinking that if she could help, she must lend a helping hand. No matter what, she had to bring her best friend back. To persuade them one after the other, the couple would probably not end up hostile!
"Mom, I know what to do! No matter how I deal with it, it's a new beginning. Don't worry, Victoria... is my wife!"
Not to mention how she could never escape from him in her life!
"Ah! That's good! I'll give Veronica a call these two days..."
His words gave Aunt Amanda reassurance. She nodded and smiled, but she
failed to notice the coldness and emotion flashing in Trevor's eyes.
After walking out of the house, Trevor's face darkened like the looming of a dark cloud.
Once he got in the car, he withdrew his phone and made a call. "Come out and have a drink! East Bannpool..."
After hanging up the phone, he started the car engine. On one side, Wyatt picked his suit up just after taking it off. Seeing that the battery on his mobile phone was almost depleted, he grabbed a charger, and upon turning around, he placed it back.
No matter whether it was charging the phone in the car or in a private room, its portability was limited! Right then, he was afraid of missing out on any important news, so he hoped that the mobile phone would always be with him!
All of a sudden, the scene of Waverly going on a long trip flashed in his mind. Every time she went out for a faraway distance, she would rummage through for a larger case because a smaller bag could basically not store her power bank.
The corner of his lips lifted without realizing it, but before it could curl into a smile, it froze in an instant.
Waverly?
His Waverly...
Wyatt felt a sudden contraction in his heart as if he couldn't breathe. He closed his eyes and stood still for a moment before he approached the small table aside.
Her power bank must probably be around!
She remembered that when she used to order servants to clean up, they would check its battery percentage and charge it up for her at any time. Although she was no longer around, nothing in the room had changed. Supposedly her habits were maintained!
Searching around the desk, he found a red and white cuboid in the drawer, the one she had always been holding onto. Pressing the power button. As he had expected, it was sixty percent full with two white cables inserted at one end.
As Wyatt was about to pull it out, he paused.
Two cables with different ports?
How did he remember that there was only one cable on it? It seemed to be a red cable by the side for the power bank. Since when was there another cable?
Did she have another phone?
In the past, he did not pay attention to such stuff, he had a slight understanding of Waverly's habits After all, they had lived together for some time. She used to think that the charger would restrict her activities, so her habit was to charge her phone with a power bank after charging the power bank with a charger. Even when she was at home on the computer and sitting at a desk, she was used to doing the same. He remembered teasing her about making things complicated. She could charge her phone directly, but she insisted on charging her phone with a power bank, then charging the power bank with her phone charger!
In his memory, there had always been one cable. She would plug it in as she pulled it over. Since when was there another cable?
Apparently, it was not the cell phone she was used to using. The connection was
not commonly used. As for the cable on it, did it imply that she had recently used
it?
As if to discover a new item, Wyatt started searching the inside and outside of her table.
Since Waverly left, he had fumbled
through the things at home more than once. Seeing the objects allowed him to miss their owner, so he would return the items to original place, but he didn't remember there being a phone.

As he searched through, a small card came into his sight all of a sudden. He was stunned.
"A recycled item, a small present. There's a 'super big surprise' waiting for you!" Was it... Waverly's handwriting?
Was it for him?
Recycled item? What was it? Was it the card? What was the small present then?
When was it?
Why didn't he have an impression of it?
As he flipped the card over, a black
mark entered his sight. As he raised his hand, Wyatt tried touching it. Was at the mark of two-sided glue? Where did the card fall off from?
Did she prepare any gifts for him?
Why didn't he receive it? Why didn't he have any impression?
Wyatt felt as if his heart was about to leap out of his throat. His hands were trembling as well. Was it before the day of the incident?
No. It might be on the day of the incident!
If he hadn't seen it before, she would have asked or reminded him, but she didn't!
That could be the day or the day before, so she didn't have the time to ask him
about it!
She had left him a present. What was it?
What on earth was it?
Surprise? Would there be any surprise? Why didn't he see or receive it?
After rummaging through the boxes, Wyatt grew increasingly excited.
The card was hand-written. It didn't seem to be bought on purpose. It should be randomly found. Would the gift be casually packaged instead of in an exquisite packing box?
What do you think?
