Chapter 1474
As she was dragged all the way to the car, Waverly clenched her pocket recalling what had happened that night. It was then a thought flitted through her mind. Was he making it up to her?
No, to be more precise, was he expressing his attitude towards her?
As he had auctioned for that woman and pissed Waverly off, he decided to spend more money on her. Was he trying to tell Waverly that she was a lot more valuable than the woman on the stage?
The scene where he had entered the store and grabbed all women's clothes before heading for the new arrivals section crossed her mind. He didn't ask for the price or select clothes, nor did he care about whether she liked it or not. In a few minutes, he had spent more than a million dollars, as if his purpose was to spend money rather than to purchase items.
Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of the convenience bag in hand before her gaze fell on the majestic figure in front of her. Waverly affirmed
her guess.
A prodigal son!
All those items were luxurious goods! They had wasted half a villa for nothing that night!
Although she had had such a spending experience, she felt sorry for the money wasted. At the same time, warmth and sweetness pervaded her heart.
Although he had caused her to be in an awkward position, in all fairness, everything he did was up to her standards. At least from the beginning to the end, he did what a man should shoulder. At the critical moment, he did not betray and push all the blame onto her for self-protection or pin all the fault on her...
Abruptly, Waverly was reminded of her last fight with Franklin. Back then, the woman had come up knocking on their door with a pregnant belly. When the two had a fight in the room, Franklin had begged for her forgiveness and accused her of not contributing and spending money to help him overcome the difficulties, so he was the one that had no choice but to resort to committing such a foolish decision. In short, he had his difficulties, whereas Waverly had to bear half the responsibility of him cheating on her. Little did he know about how she had been working hard in secret. For fear of hurting his dignity, she dared not tell him anything about it, nor did she have the heart to openly help him. She had fought against her father in hopes of withdrawing money just so she could openly lend him a helping hand. As a result, she had been mocked by her elder brother for being a useless and ungrateful daughter of the Castle Family. For Franklin's sake, she often had conflicts with her family, but before Franklin appeared, she had never been in estrangement with her family!
A family was, after all, a family. No matter when it was and what had happened, there had never been an overnight feud. Perhaps her home was her most reliable and safest harbor which would never abandon her at any time!
She had never expected her brother to be right. A man who couldn't protect a woman was unreliable, while a man who had to rely on others was proven to be untrustworthy. Sooner or later, she would suffer misery from the relationship! Right then as she recounted the past, she came to realize how truly foolish she had been. Never would she have expected incidents like having an affair to happen to her. Similarly, she never suspected men to set their eyes on her just because she had the last name Castle and was the daughter of the wealthiest man in Yecaues City. Her wealthy family provided and protected her in her comfort zone, rendering her at a loss to distinguish truth from falseness.
After all that she had gone through, she was no longer as innocent as she used to be. She no longer assumed men were trying to win her over just because they had feelings for her!
She began developing her bottom line. In the future, her love and marriage would have nothing to do with the Castle Family. Her father and brother were the ones that had developed the Castle Family and earned their wealth, so all of it had nothing to do with her. As for her, she would make a living depending on her ability and set the money given by her family aside. Without her father's suggestion to sign an agreement, she would take the initiative to put the idea forward before her marriage. At the same time, she would not act rashly after marriage...
Along the way, mixed feelings swirled in Waverly's mind. In the end, she came to a conclusion. He was different from Franklin!
So when Wyatt once again pulled her into his arms and launched his insane kiss attacks on her after getting in the car, she did not resist. Luckily, Wyatt asked for merely a kiss and did not go overboard.
After the kiss, Wyatt stroked her beautiful little face before proceeding to tighten his arms around her. His words revealed a sense of guilt.
"You must have felt wronged!"
Most women would have grasped the opportunity to put an end to the dramatic show by expressing their understanding so as to leave a better impression, but Waverly did not. Instead, she darted her icy glare at him and rebuked with her cold voice.
"It's good that you know it!"
The implication was, "I'll keep it in mind!"
Her alluring glossy red lips pursed, followed by which her tone softened slightly. "We'll definitely make the headlines tomorrow! Send me home! I need to recover my strength!"
In other words, a tough battle was inevitable!
Seeing how she wasn't mad or in low spirits but was energetic and bold in facing the upcoming challenges, the thriving vitality instantly brightened Wyatt's mood.
"Waverly..."
Holding her forehead, Wyatt couldn't
bear to part with the soft and
fragrant little fellow in his arms. It
was especially the case after how he remembered that her period was over His once wonderful hope swallowed up his rationality. Once his hand shifted, it was gripped by Waverly.
"Wyatt Johnson!"
Shoving him away, her fair fingertips fiercely poked against his chest, "If you break any of the rules again, I'll terminate the agreement for real! From then on, I won't show you any respect!"
The storm had yet passed, yet he was already surging with malicious thoughts!
After having to experience it all several times, Waverly could spot the lust and sexual desire swirling in his eyes. Just by thinking about it, she couldn't help blushing, her heart palpitating.
What a terrible man! He was a dangerous fellow, especially when the two of them were left alone!
"I shouldn't have cared about his feelings and escaped!" Waverly hissed to herself.
"Waverly, it's late. Why don't you stay here tonight..."
Trying his best to persuade her, Wyatt was reluctant to part with her. He had no idea if it was his prolonged period of living alone that caused her to long to hold her every day even in his dreams.
Although it seemed to be a shameless demand, Wyatt intended to discuss it with her. To his surprise, the smile on Waverly's face disappeared in the blink of an eye as she lowered her gaze.
"Is me being a widow the reason why you think I'm . a wh*re?"
Would he find her unreasonable if she were to reject his idea all the time?
Gently biting her lips, Waverly was in a great dilemma.
She knew how open-minded modern society was, and she was aware of how others gossiped behind her back, but truth to be told, she was inexperienced in such affairs. The conflict between two different

situations placed her in a difet
If they were to fall in love, she would not insist on fulfilling his wishes only after they had married each other. She was an adult, and no matter what consequences she would face in the future, she was willing to bear the responsibility. All she was afraid of was that he regarded her as a widow and was fooling her around for fun!
